Black North Carolina student suspended for marijuana even though she passed a drug test

Even though school authorities never found marijuana on her and she passed a drug test, North Carolina student Jakayla Johnson received a five-day suspension because she smelled like weed. Jakayla passed a drug test the day of her suspension. When her mom showed up at the school with the test results, the school showed her a document saying Jakayla had been in possession of marijuana. Why they said she was in possession even though no drugs were found.
